Positive classroom management, foundations
Introductory
The base layer of orderly, warm classrooms: relationships, routines, and responses that prevent most trouble before it starts.
Who it is for. Teachers at any stage who want their classroom order rebuilt on firmer ground.
Objectives
- Establish routines and expectations that hold without constant enforcement
- Respond to low-level disruption early and without escalation
- Build the relationships that make authority acceptable
Learning outcomes
- Take home a management plan written for your own classes
- Respond consistently, with responses graded to the behaviour
- Recover a lesson that is going wrong without losing the room
- Spend less of your lesson on order and more of it on teaching
Conflict resolution and restorative practice
All levels
What to do when prevention was not enough: de-escalating conflict, repairing harm, and keeping the relationships that have to continue on Monday morning.
Who it is for. Teachers, tutors and leadership handling conflict between students, or with them.
Objectives
- De-escalate conflict between students, and between student and teacher
- Run restorative conversations properly, not as a soft word for punishment
- Judge which conflicts need which response — and which need referring
Learning outcomes
- Structure a restorative conversation and hold it steady
- De-escalate a live incident with your own composure intact
- Involve a class in repairing its own climate after conflict
- Know the cases that belong with leadership or outside help
Motivation, behaviour and classroom climate
Advanced
The slower work behind behaviour: motivation, group dynamics, and the climate a class settles into over a term. For teachers whose basics hold and who want the rest.
Who it is for. Experienced teachers, mentors and coordinators working beyond incident response.
Objectives
- Read a group’s dynamics — and your own part in them — accurately
- Work on motivation itself rather than settling for compliance
- Plan classroom climate deliberately across a term, not a lesson
Learning outcomes
- Diagnose why a class behaves the way it does
- Adjust your teaching so it feeds motivation instead of testing patience
- Turn a difficult group around over weeks, with a plan you can show
- Mentor colleagues on management with more than anecdotes
How these courses work
Cases come from the participants: the group works on real situations from real classrooms, including yours if you bring one.
- FormatClasses run Monday to Friday mornings. You choose 20 or 25 hours a week when you book.

- GroupGroups are small, usually with participants from several European countries.
- MaterialsCourse materials are handed out on the first day.
- ActivitiesTwo afternoons are given to the week's cultural activities. Both are included in the fee, both are optional, and someone from the team goes with the group.

- WhereCourses run in two parts of the city: Gràcia, around the office, and Barceloneta by the sea. We confirm which one when you sign up.
Fees and booking
The fee covers the teaching, all course materials and the week's two cultural activities. You arrange travel, accommodation and meals.
You can book through your institution or directly with us. Under Erasmus+ KA1, travel and accommodation come from the grant's own budget lines rather than from the course fee.
There is no deposit, and nothing is payable until the arrangement is agreed in writing.
