A staff training week in Barcelona

From your first morning to the certificate on Friday, here's how a typical week works.

From enquiry to confirmed place

  1. You write with the course and the week. We reply within two working days.
  2. We send the pre-registration confirmation and the documents a KA1 application needs.
  3. You sign up and confirm. We send an acceptance letter if your institution needs one.
  4. We set out the fee, the dates and the invoicing in writing. That confirmation is the contract.

There is no deposit, and nothing is payable until the arrangement is agreed in writing.

The five days

Classes run Monday to Friday mornings. You choose 20 or 25 hours a week when you book. Courses run one week; the two-week AI & ICT Intensive runs 50 hours across two adjacent weeks.

An example week. The cultural activities vary by week; both are included in the fee and optional to attend. We send the final timetable before you arrive.

Your first morning

You go to the course location we confirmed when you signed up — Gràcia or Barceloneta, not necessarily the office.

Course materials are handed out on the first day. Groups are small, usually with participants from several European countries.

What to bring

Bring a laptop for the AI and ICT courses — you'll be trying the tools on your own material. For other subjects a notebook is enough, unless your trainer asks for something specific.

Lunch and afternoons

There's no canteen, so lunch is on your own. Both course areas have cafés and restaurants within a few minutes' walk.

Two afternoons are the week's cultural activities, and someone from the team goes with the group. The other three are yours.

If something changes

Cancel more than 14 days before the course and we refund the fee in full. At 14 days or less we refund half and hold the rest as credit towards another week, at any SpainBcn destination. We don't apply that if you have to cancel because of illness, a family emergency, lost funding or a problem at your institution.

Changing a participant's name, moving to another week or switching course costs nothing.
